WinterHits presents Enchantment Under The SeaPosted October 24th

This is supposed to be a cheer up mix tape, made specially to a very very dear friend. We've been close since minute one - (she had me from hello!). We always had a feeling of kinship, of intimacy, it is a very sophisticated relationship. When we were kids, besides trying to get tickets to concerts for free and going to cheap clubs, we used to fantasize about recreating Back To The Future's 1955 ball 'Enchantment Under The Sea', with a real band, a crooner and everybody dressed accordingly to the occasion. We never did it, but we never stopped wishing we did. This is supposed to be a cheer up mix tape, but in fact it's a dream coming true - even if it's only becoming real in our minds. This is a celebration of friendship, of the goals we have when we're naive and energetic - and a reminder that we would never stop having those dreams, and being at least a bit innocent. WinterHits ‘08 AKA Pop#1Posted September 19th

WinterHits returns after a few years away. No, we never stoped listening to sounds that inspire us. No, we never stoped being post-modern and yet, so conservative. WinterHist '08 comes inspired by a few poems from the late 20th century writer Peter Zarustica, especially one called Pop #1 - about sex and the digital life. We chose to ignore it, and to create a piece about Pop Music being deconstructed. Instead of sex, we decided to research love songs. We've got the best and the worst of pop Mariah, Madonna, Take That, Tina Turner, the works...  We even got an exclusive Lycantropii track for you all - by Britney from Hell. We've hit the rock bottom to compose this precious gem for you, don't disapoint us and download.

This is a soundtrack for lovers. For heartbreakers, for prostitutes, for teenagers and for very serious people too. This is a soundtrack for that winter evening you don't feel like going to the pub, nor watch the telly. You're in love but you don't feel particulary frisky. You want to drink, but you don't wanna get drunk, see?

The Original WinterHits from 2003 | Volume IPosted March 8th

The original WinterHits was commissioned by Bob Mauretts as a living room soundtrack for the winter days and nights, at his house in the small village of Chans. He hired producer Fritz von Runte, a minor celebrity at the time. Rumours say they had immediate bonding, as Bob Mauretts entered the studio holding a record called The Supremes A Go-Go - one of von Runte's personal favorites. The original piece, WinterHits, has become a cult record all over the world, with russian bootlegs being sold throughout Europe, showing a pretty girl in the heavy snow using nothing but a winter jacket and a cap. And now you can download the original piece here, without being remastered or edited.
